Job Description

LoanMonkey needs to hire a Closer to join its rapidly growing team and to support our continued efforts to grow in 2021. The duties and responsibilities of the Closer are as follows:

1. Prepare all loan documents and escrow instructions on all loans as required
2. Review the file for conditions and/or instructions from the Underwriter
3. Review and accurately detail all loan charges and prepare any documents required by the loan for closing/funding
4. Verify pricing of loans – Rate, Points, Fees, APR state restrictions
5. Review returning closing docs from the title company
6. Balance loans against estimate and final Closing Disclosure statements
7. Review title report for liens and judgments to be paid at closing
8. Verify and balance funding figures in order to wire final loan proceeds to Title
9. Fund loans and wire monies according to company standards and within the timeframes as expected by our customers
10. Direct escrow officers on breaking down borrower’s closing costs and seller credits
11. Review and sign off closing conditions including insurance information

In addition, you should have the following qualifications and skills in order to be successful in this position:

1. Minimum of 2+ years residential mortgage loan closing/funding experience
2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
3. Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
4. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
5. Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight time constraints with high volume. Ability to understand Form 1003 and Closing Disclosure
6. Demonstrate the ability to work in a high-stress environment while maintaining professional comportment
7. Must be proactive, work with a sense of urgency, thrives in a very fast-paced environment
8. Proficient in Microsoft Office/Google Docs
9. Familiarity with Byte Pro is preferred, but not required.
