Consumer Loan Officer
Purpose: Assist members with loan products while ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations. Evaluate applications, analyze credit history, and make sound lending decisions.
Responsibilities:
Interview applicants, process applications, and verify financial information.
Analyze credit reports, calculate debt-to-income ratios, and determine loan eligibility.
Approve, deny, or recommend loan applications with professionalism.
Complete loan documentation and disburse funds when approved.
Provide exceptional member service through clear communication and timely follow-up.
Cross-sell credit union products and services.
Train and support junior loan officers as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum 2 years of consumer lending or financial services experience required.
Knowledge of loan products, underwriting standards, and compliance regulations.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and member service skills.
Proficiency with loan processing systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
