    (Temp-to-Perm) Loan Operations – NYC

    Our client is expanding their Operations team and hiring into a newly created position. This is a rare opportunity to break into the buy-side at the 0–2 year level, with the chance to build a strong foundation in loan operations. The role will begin on a temporary basis with the opportunity to convert to a permanent employee.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Process daily portfolio activity, including interest rate resets, principal movements, and interest payments
    • Oversee offshore reconciliation support, ensuring accurate daily cash and position reconciliations across multiple funds
    • Reconcile positions and cash balances against custodians, fund administrators, and counterparties
    • Review and execute amendments, restructurings, and other corporate actions, partnering closely with Finance & Accounting, Valuations, and Front Office teams
    • Prepare monthly and quarterly close packages for Finance & Accounting, including open reconciliation items, trade summaries, accrual data, and identification of control risks
    • Maintain ownership of assigned portfolios, providing ongoing reporting, operational support, and ad hoc analysis for portfolio managers and controllers

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or related field (3.5 GPA or higher strongly preferred)
    • 0–2 years of experience, including internships in Operations or Treasury within a financial services firm
    • Familiarity with the syndicated loan market
    • Understanding of Loan Facility Agreements and related legal documentation
    • Experience processing credit events within internal systems
    • Working knowledge of general ledger functions
    • Exposure to loan, TRS, and fixed income settlements is a plus
    • Ability to work onsite in Manhattan five days per week
    • Open to starting in a temporary capacity with intent to convert full-time
  • Compensation
    $70,000-$80,000 per year
