Overview

The Loan Processor manages the loan file from intake through closing. This includes verifying documentation, maintaining communication with borrowers and third parties, and ensuring loan files are complete and compliant. The role supports underwriters, title companies, and closing staff to ensure timely and accurate loan closings. It involves reviewing and verifying loan applications, collecting and validating required documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, managing multiple loan files at different stages, and maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders, while working independently and meeting tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, review, and verify borrower documents to prepare complete loan files for underwriting

• Monitor and update the loan pipeline to ensure timely progress through each stage

• Act as the primary point of contact for borrowers, title companies, and internal teams during processing

• Coordinate with title officers and underwriters to resolve outstanding conditions and prepare for closing

• Ensure each file meets company guidelines, investor standards, and regulatory requirements

• Maintain accurate records in the loan origination system and assist with internal reporting

• Collaborate with the underwriting and closing departments to support loan flow

Qualifications

• Experience in loan processing, preferably in private or hard money lending, or similar fast-paced customer service environments

• Familiarity with loan documentation, file structure, and pre-closing workflows is preferred

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Effective written and verbal communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with loan origination or CRM systems

• On-site presence required in Wichita, KS
