JOB DESCRIPTION:

LoanStream Mortgage, located in the heart of Irvine, CA, is an established Lender within the mortgage industry that is offering a unique opportunity. We are currently looking for an experienced VA/FHA DE Underwriter (LAPP, SAR and CHUMS preferred) to work remotely or in our office located in Irvine, CA.

We are a very aggressive up and coming mortgage company. Our emphasis is on closing our clients’ loans quickly and efficiently with the utmost effort put on service.

In order to continue our rapid growth and unbeatable service, we are currently interviewing for a competent, upbeat individual who believes in service the way we do and isn’t afraid to put in the effort to help us maintain our high standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (RESPONSIBILITIES):

• Reviews/analyzes submitted loan files to ensure they meet the loan program requirements. This includes the individual analysis of the following:

• • Loan application
    • Credit profile
    • Debt to income and loan to value ratios
    • Appraisal reports
    • Collateral and supporting documentation
    • Identifying and calculating risk of loss
    • Issuing conditions for supporting documentation
    • Reviewing and clearing conditions
    • Approving, countering, or denying loan files
    • Escalating fraudulent files to Executives/Management team

• Knowledge of Encompass preferred, however not mandatory. Very similar to the other LOS used in this industry

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• VA/FHA/USDA experienced with DE/SAR and CHUMS preferred
