    Are you an experienced, detail-oriented mortgage loan processor who can successfully aid applicants in navigating the mortgage lending process? If so, we are looking for you! We are currently seeking a skilled and high-producing mortgage processor to work with the mortgage loan officers on our team. Responsibilities: Prepare and submit detailed loan packages to the lender underwriting department for approval or denial Secure property and loan documentation to process mortgage loan files such as appraisals, inspections, title searches, site surveys, contracts, and property tax records Assist borrowers in determining the best mortgage type based on interview and situation Decide the creditworthiness and complete the mortgage loan application by working with the borrower to obtain necessary and verified financial documentation, such as credit reports Liaise between the mortgage lending underwriting department, mortgage loan originators, real estate agents, and applicants to facilitate loan approval • Work with the borrower to gather financial documentation such as credit reports, income, and asset documents • Verify loan is complete with checklist and accompanying disclosures, documents, needs list, anticipated or confirmed program/investor, etc. • Work directly with the borrower to obtain any additional items needed to complete the loan • Order and receive VODs, VOEs, property profiles, tax certs and title as appropriate • Put together loan packages and submit to the underwriter • Pipeline Management – update and track information with current and up to date information. Must track all items ordered, received and/or still incomplete • Place detailed comments in the conversation log every time a file is handled Qualifications: Must possess exceptional attention to detail, as well as strong analytical and time management skills Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience in mortgage lending and knowledge of loan types, such as FHA, FHLB, FNMA, or VA loans required Accounting, finance, or business Associate’s degree preferred - High school diploma or GED required At least 2 years of loan processing experience required • The Loan Processor must have a working knowledge of FHA/VA /Conventional/Jumbo/USDA/203k and DPA program guidelines • Thorough understanding of automated underwriting engines • Special care to review cash, income, credit, and property issues must be taken • Strong analytical and time management skills as well as the ability to organize, prioritize, and perform multiple tasks simultaneously Compensation: $19 - $31 hourly DOE
