Position Overview
CLFC Healthcare and Communications is building its South Carolina locum psychology roster to provide as-needed psychological assessment and therapy at state agency facilities. Selected psychologists join a qualified-provider list and accept per-assignment engagements based on availability and facility need.
This is flexible, per-assignment locum work for licensed doctoral psychologists who want to set their own availability while supporting public-sector behavioral health.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological and diagnostic assessments.
- Provide individual and group therapy.
- Develop and update treatment plans.
- Perform crisis assessment and risk evaluation as needed.
- Document encounters per facility protocol and consult with clinical teams.
Required Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in psychology (PhD or PsyD) from an accredited program.
- Active South Carolina psychologist license, or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to assignment.
- Clinical assessment and therapy experience.
- Ability to clear required background screening.
Strongly Preferred Qualifications
- Forensic or correctional assessment experience.
- Proficiency with standardized testing batteries.
- Immediate or near-term availability for assignment.
Compensation and Engagement Details
- Hourly rate range: $67 to $81 per hour (1099 independent contractor), per assignment.
- As-needed engagement; you accept assignments based on your availability.
