    Job Description

    Summary/Objective

    The Production Test Engineer will be responsible for developing, updating, and improving documentation and procedures, as well as providing on-going support for all testing operations. This role requires engineering knowledge and project management, collaboration, and communication skills within a team and across departments.

    Essential Functions

    • Review test data to identify trends and initiate improvement projects, troubleshooting of failures and root cause investigations
    • Write and execute Installation, Operational and Process Qualifications of test equipment
    • Develop new test equipment for full scale manufacturing
    • Create, review and organize testing programs and data
    • Create and maintain preventive maintenance programs on all test equipment
    • Create and maintain spare parts list for all test equipment
    • Learn and understand testing operations and required equipment
    • Review and refine existing procedures related to testing
    • Propose and develop new procedures, work instructions, and specifications related to testing
    • Serve as communication link between all departments involved with testing
    • Document deviations and changes relating to testing and test equipment
    • Organize tasks and ensure follow-through with team members
    • Review of existing test methods and equipment to propose new automated solutions
    • Supports RD Engineering to ensure project are completed on time

    • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, and/or 5S preferred
    • Familiarity with testing and inspection using electromechanical systems and/or automated equipment
    • Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks and GD&T

    Salary Range

    $90,000-110,000 annual salary plus bonus and amazing company fully paid benefits

    Supervisory Responsibility

    This position has no initial supervisory responsibilities.

    Work Environment.

    This job routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers, as well as electrical and environmental test equipment located in production environments and dedicated laboratories.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate both verbally and in writing. The employee is frequently required to move about the office and shop and use a computer.     Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time exempt position, Monday through Friday, during normal business hours.

    Travel

    Little travel is expected for this role.

    Required Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
    • Experience writing engineering documentation and procedures
