    Job Description

    As a FIELD SERVICE SPECIALIST with Locus Robotics, you will collaborate with a talented team to do on-site repairs and preventative maintenance of our Locus Empower robotics solutions at customer sites. This job requires a unique combination of technical and troubleshooting skills as well as effective customer facing communication skills. You will travel extensively (~75%), with all expenses paid, to locations in North America and also international locations as we grow.

    • Perform on-site preventative maintenance of robots and chargers. Additional off-site technical support activities as required. 
    • Manage onsite customer relationships and ensure the smooth operations of the robots on-site.
    • Troubleshoot and perform on-site repairs including correct preparation to perform the repairs.
    • Assist customer with handling of non-hardware on-site escalations.
    • Analyze robot data and identify indicators of potentially degrading components.
    • Complete service reports and close tickets in salesforce.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Willingness to do whatever it takes to ensure customer success.
    • 1+ year experience in a similar hands-on technical role or demonstration of technical aptitude.
    • Understand basic theory of operation of mechanical and electrical systems of a robot.
    • Basic electrical and electronic circuit background very helpful.
    • Hands on familiarity with mechanical tools, meters and electrical test equipment.
    • Self-motivated and able to solve problems independently and in customer settings.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external teams.
    • Cursory knowledge of networking and network topologies, such as routers, WIFI, switches, and firewalls
    • ~75% travel is required with this role.
    • BS in an engineering discipline preferred but not required.
