Job Description
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Buyer with Locus Robotics will be responsible for all purchasing activities to support our office, warehouse and manufacturing operation. The successful candidate will have at least two years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment, be familiar with ERPs (NetSuite preferred), and enjoy working in a fast-pasted startup environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and process Purchase Requisitions to create Purchase Orders based on demand signals from ERP system and requests from external departments.
- Follow-up and expedite open Purchase Orders to support production needs, assure all receive-by dates are accurate and updated regularly.
- Support strategic Supply-Chain initiatives as needed – vendor qualification, second-sourcing, score-cards.
- Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy, support warehouse & production team to resolve inventory/transaction issues.
- Tactical Execution of reverse logistics process to support MRB; initiate vendor RMAs and ensure discrepant material is dispositioned in a timely manner.
- Support initiatives to optimize NetSuite – assist in developing improved reporting structure & cross-functional procurement processes.
- Support resolution of supplier issues – quality, delivery & invoicing.
