Job Description

Locus Robotics is seeking a PRINCIPAL FRONT END UI DESIGNER & DEVELOPER with deep user-interface design & JavaScript/ AngularJS/ Angular skills to take on the full responsibility for the client-facing front-end for the Locus Portal.  You will need to WORK ON THE CURRENT ANGULARJS TEMPLATE AND CODE WHILE UPGRADING IT FOR THE FUTURE and keeping all the Client-side libraries up to date. This is not a full-stack developer position. This is a senior/ lead front-end position for a person who loves to work purely on the user interface and build complex, but intuitive web pages that will display animations and charts rarely found in web applications. You like challenging work in complex animations and real-time displays, and use the best of web technologies to bring experiences that are seldom seen on the front-end to the end-user.

In this role, you will "live with the problem" and DESIGN INNOVATIVE, INTUITIVE, CUTTING-EDGE USER INTERFACES while bringing these concepts into reality with a deep understanding of current web technologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for the full design, architecture, and roadmap of the portal front-end.
• Maintain & update the client-side frameworks with the latest in web front-end technologies.
• Design & implement intuitive user interfaces for the portal using cutting-edge technologies.
• Build extremely complex charts & animations which hitherto may only have been implemented in Excel.
• Build real-time updates into the portal using the best technologies available.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and support different monitor resolutions and DPI.
• Handle caching issues in the front-end.
• Provide Front-End Internationalization & Globalization.
• Resolve any versioning issues with the website.
• Write detailed design and implementation documentation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Core Front-End experience.
• Deep expertise and migration in front-end & JS frameworks, Angular & AngularJS.
• Must have at least 4+ years of experience with AngularJS and migrate from AngularJS to Angular.
• Experienced User Interface Guru.
• Code contribution experience to a significant web framework like AngularJS, Angular, React, etc., is nice to have.
• Architect-level design skills for front-end development.
• Design icons/fonts, image creation work, build into UI.
• Multiple browsers and device support (long term).
• Handling UI issues for monitors of different sizes and resolutions
• Handling UI issues for different DPIs in high res monitors.
• UI Design Skills, Creation, Web Frameworks Development, HTML, JS, CSS.
• Photoshop, GIT & Git Hub.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related degree (Web UI Development, Design, Architect).
• Excellent documentation skills. Does not shy away from documentation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Works with minimal supervision.
