    Exciting opportunity available for a seasoned Hotel Sales Manager to become part of our dynamic team at The Lodge at Marconi, situated in Marshall, CA. Our property prides itself on recent renovations and a fresh outlook. Boasting a total of 8 indoor and outdoor event spaces, our hotel is the ideal location for various occasions including weddings, conferences, and retreats. Tucked away in the hills overlooking Tomales Bay, our intimate 45-room hotel provides a distinctive and charming backdrop. Join us as a Hotel Sales Manager and take on a crucial role in showcasing our outstanding hotel and event venue to prospective customers. This is a remote opportunity, but preference will be given to candidates who reside in California and have prior experience in the hospitality industry. Responsibilities: • Prospecting is a must • Respond to and manage larger and more complex incoming opportunities for the property • Identifies, qualifies, and solicits new business to achieve property revenue goals • Focuses efforts on accounts with significant potential sales revenue • Understands the overall market - competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply, and demand, etc. and knows how to sell against them • Uses negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to maximize revenues and close on business • Handles complex business with significant revenue potential as well as significant customer expectations • Selling guest rooms and meeting space to customer groups • Managing accounts • Conducting site inspections • Solicits and generates business • Preparing and presenting effective proposals • Maintain well-organized documentation and reports • Utilize sales systems • Coordinate customer service requirements as appropriate • Participate in event and sales meetings Qualifications: • Refined verbal and written communication skills • A minimum of 3-5 years of hotel sales • Must be proficient in general computer knowledge • Effectively manage client relations • Partner with operations and events departments to ensure full participation in servicing guests and clients • Must be proficient in general computer knowledge • Capacity to work independently • Passion and drive • Competitive spirit • Professionalism • Strong written skills • Detail oriented Compensation: $80,000 base + quarterly bonus
