    Job Description

    Western Digital's Wafer and Component Sales (WCS) continues to grow in volume and market reach. WCS provides customers with Western Digital’s leading core flash technology in the form of wafers and packaged memory.   The Technical Product Manager (TPM) works with teams from Marketing, Engineering, Sales and Operations to develop & execute the WCS product line from inception to end of life. 

      ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Manage NAND memory wafer and component product lines throughout the product lifecycle, from definition to EOL. 
    • Develop, publish and communicate the product line roadmap internally and to key customers 
    • Work with sales and customers to understand technical product requirements and translate customer requests into internal product requirements and roadmap
    • Understand customer usage models and be the voice of the customer to internal development team
    • Represent customer needs to the cross functional product team 
    • Develop and present business cases to justify new products or features 
    • Work with partners to ensure timely enablement and qualification of product line in the eco-system
    • Contribute to product positioning, value proposition and product differentiation strategy 
    • Track new product schedule and lead team to ensure timely product delivery 
    • Manage product collateral definition and distribution

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED:

    • BS/BA in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration or similar degrees
    • 3 - 5 Years experience with semiconductors, flash memory or adjacent technologies required
    • The ideal candidate has product management, engineering, and technical marketing background

    • An employee’s pay position within the salary range may be based on several factors including but not limited to (1) relevant education; qualifications; certifications; and experience; (2) skills, ability, knowledge of the job; (3) performance, contribution and results; (4) geographic location; (5) shift; (6) internal and external equity; and (7) business and organizational needs.
    • The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado or remote jobs that can be performed in Colorado.  This range may be modified in the future.
    • You will be eligible to participate in Western Digital’s Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan, which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance.  Depending on your role and your performance, you may be eligible to participate in our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs) or cash equivalents, pursuant to the terms of the LTI plan.
