    BUSINESS ANALYST

    LOCATION: ASHBURN, VA

    FULL-TIME POSITION

    NOTE: WFH UNTIL COVID SITUATION EXISTS

    DESCRIPTION: We are looking for a passionate business analyst who works as a liaison among project stakeholders in order to capture, analyze, communicate and validate functional requirements for new and modifications to existing applications within the software development life cycle.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Collaborates closely with Project Stakeholders, Development, Product Management, Professional Services and Quality Assurance teams to capture and analyze functional business requirements.
    • Develops and maintains detailed and accurate functional specification artifacts (written documentation that includes requirement definition papers, use cases, UI designs, workflow, etc.) for assigned projects.
    • Conducts functional specification reviews with Development and other project stakeholders to make sure the specifications are clearly understood and agreed upon by all participants.
    • Work closely with Product Management, Professional Services and Customers to evaluate customer requirements to ensure proper prioritization against both the current and future product market space.
    • Documents and evaluates feedback collected through beta releases, pilot deployments, product demos and User Acceptance Testing.
    • Works closely with project stakeholders to obtain sign-off through User Acceptance Testing.
    • Assists in scoping and defining work efforts, resource plans, and estimating cost on phases/projects.
    • Supports launch of new products and solutions through coordination with R&D, Product Management, Marketing, Product Support, etc.
    • Participates in brainstorming meetings with the Development team and other project stakeholders.
    • Stands as an end-user advocate in the development process, ensuring usability/user experience are properly represented and prioritized.
    • Work cooperatively with other Telos Corporation and Telos Identity Management employees, government agencies and other industry partners.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    ABILITIES, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

    • Experience with enterprise-level applications and with business management.
    • Experience with cloud implementation (AWS) would be beneficial.
    • Strong written and verbal communications skills and the ability to interact with people at all levels.
    • Proficient with MS productivity tools (e.g., Windows, Word, Excel, Project, Power Point etc.).
    • Strong research, analytical and problem solving skills.
    • Effective organizational and information management and tracking abilities.
    • Ability to organize processes logically.
    • Must be current on new technology within the software industry.
    • Must be comfortable working independently, as well as within a team environment.
    • Ability to handle multiple project deliverables and balance multiple priorities and deadlines (multi-task and work well under high pressure).
    • Ability to work well independently and collaboratively in fast-paced and dynamic environment with aggressive schedules.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • The successful candidate must meet eligibility requirements to access sensitive information, which requires US citizenship.
    • A bachelor's degree, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience (6 years).
    • A minimum of 5 years of relative experience.
    • Experience with IT, computer science, or information security in a professional environment.
    • Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP), PMI-PBA or equivalent certifications are a plus.
