SOCIAL MEDIA CONTRACTOR
DURATION: 3 MONTHS (POTENTIAL TO GO DIRECT IF A PERFECT FIT)
LOCATION: NEW YORK, NY (LOCAL TO NYC PREFERRED)
NOTE: An Edit Test will be a part of the screening process
MUST:
- Be ORAGANIZED

- Have a love/passion for organization, food & social media
- Have a Bachelor's Degree
- At least 1 yr experience in large-scale corp in social media
GOOD TO HAVE:
- Base level knowledge of PhotoShop
- GoogleDoc & Drive experience
- Journalism background
TASKS:
- Scheduling Social Media Posts
- YouTube Thumb nail
- Initiative to work within the googledoc to research the necessary details to follow through with posting & close the loop on pending items
ABOUT: This role will be responsible for programming content for the brand on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest and Youtube. The ideal candidate is a hyper-organized, creative individual with a passion for social media and the world of food.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Schedule all Food Network social media posts efficiently and with attention to detail
- Craft attention-grabbing copy to create an exciting and valuable content experience for our followers across multiple platforms
- Grow and foster engaged social media communities while supporting the Food category in achieving business objectives
- Monitor social media conversations on managed platforms
- Share community feedback, identify potential issues, etc.
- Create eye-catching YouTube thumbnails
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Professional social media experience
- Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to manage and execute multiple ongoing projects
- Extreme attention to detail and proclivity for checking work for accuracy once, twice and three times
- Speedy, proactive work ethic and ability to work ahead
- Solution oriented problem solver
- Creative individual with a passion for social media, food and entertainment
- Superb verbal, writing and presentation skills to work effectively with multiple teams and communicate effectively, and on-brand, with consumers
- Active and engaged participant in social media with in-depth knowledge of social media platforms and their users (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, tumblr, Google+, etc.)
- Savvy and knowledgeable about current social media trends and innovations
- Depth of knowledge with social media best practices
- Photo/video editing experience/basic design capabilities for social media. (Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Premiere is a plus.)
- Familiarity with web and social media analytics (Tubular, Facebook Insights, Twitter Analytics, etc.)
- Complete familiarity with MS Office Suite and Google Drive
- Bachelor's degree
