    Compliance Specialist

    Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid - 3 days in Office)

    6+ Months Contract

    Description: Client seeking an experienced Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our team and help ensure we are up-to-date with all applicable government regulations. The successful candidate will be an organized individual with strong problem-solving and communication skills, and a good understanding of regulations and processes related to compliance.

    The Regulatory Compliance Specialist will be responsible for monitoring and interpreting regulatory requirements and providing guidance and oversight for compliance activities. The role requires an in-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance and the ability to develop and implement compliant processes and procedures.

    The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Knowledge/Skills:

    Knowledge of the financial services industry, especially asset servicing, wealth management and banking, and the regulatory environment in which they operate Knowledge of regulatory themes, both existing and emerging within industry

    Experience:

    • 6+ years' experience in Financial Services, with a solid understanding of regulatory obligations and regulatory risk management

    • Solid understanding of products and services underpinning asset servicing, especially global markets, securities, global custody, capital markets and fund services

    • Deep understanding of resiliency, risk and control across markets and regions

    • Demonstrated experience in providing interpretation guidance in regulatory implementations and remediation

    • Candidate is able to work collaboratively with others to produce a quality work product

    • Advanced MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc

    • Desired experience in SecOps

    • Maintains evolving expertise in financial services, information technology, information security, systems development, change / release management, access security and physical access

    • controls and procedures
