Logistics Billing Specialist (Transportation/Freight Experience Preferred)

Transportation, trucking, freight brokerage, or logistics billing experience is strongly preferred. Applicants without relevant industry experience may not be considered.

About Us

Royal Management Logistics is a growing transportation and logistics company seeking an experienced Logistics Billing Specialist to join our team. This is not a standard medical, retail, or office billing position. We are looking for someone who understands the fast-paced freight industry and can accurately process customer invoices, carrier payments, and shipment documentation.

Responsibilities

Invoice freight shipments accurately and on time

Verify Bills of Lading (BOLs), Proofs of Delivery (PODs), rate confirmations, and shipment paperwork

Review customer contracts and ensure billing matches agreed rates

Process carrier invoices and resolve billing discrepancies

Work with dispatch, customers, and carriers to resolve billing issues

Reconcile detention, layover, lumper, TONU, and accessorial charges

Maintain accurate records within our Transportation Management System (TMS)

Assist with accounts receivable and collections when needed

Meet daily and weekly billing deadlines

Qualifications

Required:

Minimum 2 years of billing experience

Strong attention to detail

Excellent organizational and communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:

Transportation, trucking, freight brokerage, or logistics billing experience

Experience working in a Transportation Management System (TMS)

Knowledge of freight terminology including PODs, BOLs, detention, layover, accessorials, and carrier settlements
