    Location: Saratoga Springs

    Pay Range: 65,000-75,000

    Job Overview:

    The Logistics and Inventory Coordinator is responsible for coordinating inventory control, logistics operations, and order fulfillment. This role requires strong knowledge of supply chain management, purchasing, and inventory systems to ensure timely delivery, accurate records, and efficient operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    Logistics & Shipping

    Schedule shipments and coordinate transportation.

    Communicate with vendors, carriers, and customers.

    Resolve delivery issues and ensure timely arrivals.

    Prepare shipping documentation: bills of lading, packing slips, and customs forms.

    Optimize logistics processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.

    Location and Inventory Management

    Monitor stock levels and conduct regular audits.

    Maintain accurate inventory records using software and spreadsheets.

    Coordinate order fulfillment: receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.

    Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely replenishment.

    Analyze inventory data to forecast needs and optimize stock levels.

    Address delays, shortages, and discrepancies.

    Oversee inventory accuracy across warehouse and production locations

    Oversee optimization of storage layouts and picking efficiency

    Analyze location-based inventory trends to support strategic stocking decisions

    Track and reconcile inventory movements between locations using ERP/MRP systems

    Implement, monitor, and maintain location/bin tracking system

    Implement and perform cycle counting programs to reduce discrepancies

    Investigate discrepancies in inventory counts and assist in reconciling differences

    Raw Material & Purchase Order Management

    Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers.

    Prepare and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.

    Maintain supplier relationships and resolve order issues.

    Ensure compliance with transfer pricing, tax exemptions, and company policies.

    Ensure overall accuracy of purchase orders including timely receipt and invoicing.

    Collaborate with internal teams, such as production, finance, and logistics, to forecast supply needs and avoid material shortages.

    Compliance & Documentation

    Maintain shipping and purchasing records.

    Ensure adherence to safety, regulatory, and company standards.

    Skills & Qualifications:

    3+ years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, or inventory management.

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

    Experience with MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).

    Proficiency in warehouse management software.

    Knowledge of supply chain principles and inventory management.

    Experience in manufacturing or production planning is preferred.

    Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

    Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

    Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

    Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

    Physical stamina for hands-on work in warehouse or yard
