    Logistics Branch Manager – Japanese bilingual in Newark, California

    Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 (DOE)

    Position Overview

    A well-established international logistics company is seeking a Branch Manager to lead and oversee operations at its San Francisco location. This role manages multiple service lines including freight forwarding, relocation services, and warehouse operations. The Branch Manager will be responsible for supervising staff, maintaining service quality, managing client relationships, and supporting business expansion.

    The ideal candidate brings strong operational leadership experience within logistics, freight forwarding, relocation services, moving services, or warehouse management.

    Key Responsibilities

    Oversee daily branch operations including international and domestic freight forwarding, relocation and moving services, and warehouse operations

    Manage end-to-end logistics coordination including shipment handling, storage, transportation, and relocation project management

    Supervise and develop branch staff, ensuring productivity, training, and performance management

    Coordinate with domestic and overseas partners, carriers, vendors, and customers to ensure smooth service execution

    Manage relocation and moving service operations including household goods coordination, scheduling, and customer service support

    Oversee warehouse activities including inventory control, receiving, storage, and distribution operations

    Establish and improve operational procedures to enhance efficiency, service quality, and safety standards

    Support client relationship management and assist with business development initiatives

    Monitor branch financial performance including budgeting, cost control, and reporting

    Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, transportation standards, and company policies

    Resolve customer and operational issues in a timely and professional manner

    Collaborate with regional and headquarters leadership to align business strategies and operational goals

    Qualifications

    5+ years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, relocation/moving services, or warehouse operations

    2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred

    Strong knowledge of international shipping, supply chain processes, or relocation service coordination

    Experience managing multiple operational functions and service lines

    Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

    Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics or warehouse management systems

    Preferred Qualifications Experience managing household goods relocation or corporate relocation services

    Experience overseeing warehouse or distribution center operations

    Bilingual ability (Japanese-English or other Asian language skills preferred)

    Experience supporting branch setup, expansion, or operational growth initiatives
