  • Responsibilities

    Overall Responsibility:

    The Logistics Center Dispatch Coordinator is responsible in coordinating the distribution of products promptly to our customers. They are responsible for interacting and collaborating with MCPC Sales and Sales Support staff, Project Managers and MCPC’s client base with the primary objective of managing order functions in alignment with client and MCPC expectations.


    Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

    • Effectively manage customer order processes by reviewing, processing, and monitoring order fulfilment/project functions.
    • Communicate with Project Managers to provide general post order management support and issue resolution before being sent to the warehouse for processing.
    • Bills out all shipments with correct cost assignments and supplies reports.
    • Interact daily with customers and employees in a polite, professional manner through direct inbound and outbound communication, both verbally and in writing.
    • Provide critical logistics communication points to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Schedule pickups and deliveries for customers.
    • Manage drivers schedules to be efficient and effective.
    • Schedules couriers and other pick-up & delivery services when appropriate 
    • Resolve clients complaints.
    • Prepares bills of lading; check items to be shipped/received against work orders to ensure quantities, destinations, and shipping locations are correct.
    • Use scan gun to receive and pick items in the shipping process. 
    • Maintains all vehicle and equipment logs.
    • Controls proper maintenance schedules for all vehicles and equipment.
    • Follow regulations and safety standards.
    • Responsible for selecting appropriate shipping container; packs items to ensure safe delivery.
    • Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.
    • May assist in scheduling routine maintenance of equipment and shipping area and general facility.
    • Maintain a secure facility at all times including monitoring inbound/outbound materials and personnel.
    • Complete cycle counts within defined inventory processes and control.
    • Attends all training and certification classes associated with career path.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    • Proficiency with basic office technology and business information systems required.
    • Proficiency in MS Office suite, including MS Excel preferred.
    • ERP systems experience valuable, but not required.

     

    Qualifications:

    This is a hands-on expert-level position that will provide MCPC a dedicated individual to support team workload. The individual will be expected to pursue the appropriate certifications or training as detailed by immediate supervisor within the first year of employment.

    Experience and Educational Requirement:

    • 1-2 years relevant experience or formal business education required.
    • Customer service experience preferred.
    • Industry experience a plus.
    • A High School Diploma or GED, with demonstrated work experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.


    Physical Requirements:

    The physical requirements of this job include occasional sitting, stooping/crouching, regular walking, standing, pulling/pushing, carrying, lifting up to 40lbs., grasping, reaching, and rare climbing & crawling. The mental requirements of this job include general intelligence; motor coordination skills; coordination of the eyes, hands and feet; verbal intelligence and number intelligence. The workplace environmental conditions include heat in the summer and dust.


    Regular attendance and punctuality are an essential job function of this position. In addition, the duties of this job need to be performed at our client offices for the purpose of interaction and collaboration with colleagues and/or clients as necessary, the ability to adequately supervise the associate, and/or the availability of necessary equipment utilized for regular job functions.
