About the Role:

SMARTCARDIA INC is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Shipping and Customer Service Clerk to join our team in Des Plaines, IL. This is a dynamic dual-role opportunity where you'll play a key part in keeping our operations running smoothly while delivering exceptional service to our customers. Responsibilities:

Process and prepare outbound shipments, including packaging, labeling, and documentation

Coordinate with carriers and freight vendors to schedule pickups and track deliveries

Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality

Maintain accurate shipping and inventory records using internal systems

Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email in a timely and professional manner

Resolve order discrepancies, shipping issues, and customer complaints efficiently

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and on-time order fulfillment

Requirements:

Prior experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations preferred

Strong customer service skills with a professional and friendly demeanor

Proficiency with shipping software, ERP systems, or order management platforms

Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

Strong written and verbal communication skills

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education a plus
