    HealthFitness has a new opportunity for a full-time,_ _FITNESS FLOOR ATTENDANT to join our team within our client's corporate fitness center located in SPRING, TX! In this position, you will be responsible for supervising and maintaining the fitness center on our clients campus. You will promote and enforce policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and clean fitness environment.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:     

    • Interacts with participants and monitors equipment and participant safety.
    • Manages front desk and membership system
    • Performs facility maintenance responsibilities; ensures facility, equipment and locker rooms are clean and stocked at all times.
    • Understand and execute the Emergency Medical Procedures throughout the facility.
    • Demonstrate and instruct on the proper use of exercise equipment.

     

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Must be 18 years or older.
    • Adult CPR/AED & First Aid certifications from the American Red Cross, the American Heart Association, or the American Safety & Health Institute required.
    • Prior fitness and customer service experience strongly preferred.
    • Computer application knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) strongly preferred.
    • Physical demands require having the ability to lift 25-45 lb. weights for restacking.
    • Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills including the ability to motivate others.
    • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work demands.
    • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team with enthusiasm, initiative and creativity.

    Required Skills Required Experience

  • Qualifications
    • At least seven years of experience participating in construction or equipment installation projects of significant cost and complexity in a food manufacturing environment.
    • Strong knowledge of construction standards, guidelines, regulations, methods and processes.
    • Ability to build effective relationships both internally and externally to accomplish position objectives.
    • Ability to influence others where no direct reporting relationship exists.
    • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing, with individuals at all levels.
    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent knowledge of construction, equipment and related risks acquired through working.
    • Work is generally performed within a manufacturing environment subjected to temperatures of cold and warm along with wearing the proper PPE, with standard office equipment available along with plant manufacturing environment.
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, bend, walk, use hands or finger, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, or controls; may be required to lift up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities include close vision to a computer screen.
