    Job Description

    Purpose of the Role:

    Management and ownership of the E-logistics department and all associated activities. With the help of the Logistics Coordinator, this individual will oversee all day-to-day logistics related functions inclusive of but not limited to shipment quotation, bookings/coordination, tracking, issue resolution, reporting & analysis, and 3PL partner negotiations & relationship management.

    Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

    • Serve as the primary Logistics Subject Matter Expert for the company, providing sound guidance to internal and external partners to ensure successful and profitable project/program deliveries.
    • Enhance freight profitability while keeping customer service and satisfaction levels high.
    • Track, analyze, and positively impact On-Time-Delivery rates across all modes and service providers.
    • Manage a high volume of daily interactions with company personnel, Principle 360 Partners, transportation providers, warehouse providers, etc.
    • Communicate regularly with key team members on any shipment/production changes and/or delays that could affect timelines.
    • Provide timely and accurate freight quotes consistent with company guidelines and project/program requirements.
    • Ensure all shipment requests are promptly reviewed, arcuately booked, and actively tracked in the relevant Principle logistics tracking tool(s) to facilitate on time and on budget delivery.
    • Coordinator international shipments and compliance documentation (Principle USA imports and exports).
    • Oversee monthly payments to the CBSA and CBP as it relates to international shipment activities and the payment of duties and taxes.
    • Act as the primary point of escalation for logistical issues encountered, both during and after normal working hours.
    • Weekly payment processing for our various Logistics partners
    • Manage freight claims to maximize cost recovery and provide root cause analyse and mitigation suggestions to prevent repeat occurrence.
    • Evaluate third party logistics (3PL) providers’ service levels, pricing, customer support and contract compliance.
    • Source, negotiate with, and onboard new logistics providers on an as needed basis.
    • Assist with Special Projects as required.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Degree in Logstics and Transportation preferred.
    • Previous shipping/logistics experience required.
    • Must have strong negotiating, interpersonal, communications, time management and team skills.
    • Must have strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Office suite)
    • Project management skills required for success in this role.
    • Exceptional math aptitude required.
    • Candidates with previous experience utilizing manufacturing planning, project management, or shipping software preferred
