Role Overview
A fast-growing consumer products company is seeking a Manager of Logistics to lead and optimize end-to-end supply chain execution across DTC, Amazon, and retail distribution channels.
This role will oversee warehousing, transportation, inventory flow, and last-mile delivery performance to ensure a scalable, cost-effective, and customer-focused logistics operation.
The position partners closely with Supply Planning, Customer Experience, Finance, Sales, and external logistics providers to support continued growth across multiple channels.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics & Fulfillment Strategy
- Own and execute logistics strategy across DTC, Amazon, and retail distribution channels
- Design scalable fulfillment networks leveraging 3PLs, Amazon FBA, and retail distribution partners
- Evaluate and implement new technologies, operational processes, and logistics partnerships to improve efficiency and scalability
3PL & Warehouse Management
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, including SLA management, KPI tracking, and cost control
- Oversee inbound, outbound, and returns operations across warehouse network
- Lead RFPs, onboarding, and transitions for new fulfillment partners
Transportation & Last-Mile Delivery
- Optimize parcel, LTL, and FTL shipping strategies across carrier partners
- Negotiate carrier agreements and manage service performance, claims, and shipping costs
- Improve delivery speed and customer satisfaction while reducing transportation expense
Amazon Operations (FBA)
- Manage inventory replenishment and operational flow within the Amazon FBA network
- Partner with internal Amazon/eCommerce teams on forecasting, inventory readiness, and peak season planning
Retail & Wholesale Distribution
- Ensure compliant and on-time shipments to retail customers and distribution centers
- Manage routing guides, EDI coordination, labeling compliance, and chargeback mitigation efforts
- Coordinate launch timing and replenishment schedules with sales and demand planning teams
Inventory & Performance Management
- Monitor inventory levels across all distribution nodes to minimize stockouts and excess inventory
- Track and report KPIs including:
- Fill rate
- OTIF
- Shipping cost per order
- Delivery performance
- Returns metrics
- Drive operational improvements through analytics and continuous improvement initiatives
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Finance, and Customer Experience teams
- Support forecasting and budgeting processes
- Help resolve delivery issues and improve customer satisfaction metrics
- Lead and mentor internal team members as needed
Qualifications
- Experience managing logistics and supply chain operations within an omnichannel environment
- Strong background supporting:
- DTC/eCommerce fulfillment
- Amazon FBA operations
- Retail and wholesale distribution
- Experience managing 3PLs, warehouse operations, and carrier relationships
- Strong analytical and KPI-driven decision-making skills
- Familiarity with EDI, routing guides, retail compliance, and chargeback reduction
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
