You will be sourcing and qualifying driver candidates, managing the hiring pipeline, and collaborating with operations. Also, finding and screening leads, building a candidate network, and ensuring a successful onboarding process for qualified drivers.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the trucking industry and a proven track record of successful recruiting.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Source and attract qualified CDL-A, CDL-B, and other truck driver candidates using various recruitment methods, including online job boards, social media, and referrals.
- Screen resumes and conduct initial interviews to assess candidate qualifications and fit for our specific needs.
- Work closely with the operations team to understand driver requirements and ensure all recruited drivers are properly qualified and meet company standards.
- Manage the full hiring pipeline, from initial contact to onboarding, and ensure all necessary applications and documentation are completed accurately.
- Build and maintain a strong, ongoing pipeline of potential driver candidates to meet current and future hiring needs.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market conditions, and best practices in truck driver recruitment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience as a recruiter, with a strong preference for experience in the trucking or transportation industry.
- Deep understanding of CDL licensing requirements and transportation industry regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and online recruitment tools.
- Ability to pass a background check
- Must be Proficient in Excel.
- TenStreet Software experience a plus.
