Job Description
Under general supervision, the Shipping Clerk is responsible for performing the physical and administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. This role ensures accuracy, compliance, and safe handling at every step of the process.
Key Responsibilities
Work from specifications, certification documents, shipping lists, and delivery part number lists to prepare air waybills and bills of lading.
Maintain appropriate certifications and authorizations.
️ Prepare parts and/or materials to ensure safe handling and shipment in compliance with company and customer requirements.
Interpret shipping instructions based on customer, company, or government specifications and packaging standards.
Input all relevant shipping details into company systems.
Coordinate with shipping companies, truckers, and freight forwarders to arrange pick-ups.
Receive incoming materials and products following company standard operating procedures.
⏳ Handle age-sensitive and special storage items in accordance with procedures.
Safely operate hand and power tools including hand trucks and hydraulic jacks.
️ Operate a forklift and maintain proper operator training certifications.
Qualifications
What You Bring
High School Diploma or equivalent.
1–3 years of related experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
✅ Ability to interpret shipping documents and follow detailed procedures.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and commitment to accuracy.
A team-oriented mindset with a focus on safety and efficiency.
