    BACKGROUND

    DLA requires support for assessing and implementing its supply chain strategic initiatives and evaluating, improving and sustaining current programs, particularly with management of wholesale and retail inventories supporting the industrial base and warfighters.

    DLA requires technical expertise, particularly with an understanding of the techniques used in government systems and process such as the Distribution Standard System (DSS), Inventory Management & Stock Positioning (IMSP), Economic Movement Quantity (EMQ), and Inventory Policy Optimization (IPO) to assist with the integration of supply chains, distribution, and the military services' inventory management requirements.

    This work includes conducting quantitative analysis and providing strategic recommendations to the government to improve operations and effectiveness throughout the supply chain and integration with retail and military service industrial sites.

    Our analysis will employ the capabilities of various inventory management programs (DSS, IMSP, EMQ, etc.) to support integrated solutions for inventory management that are managerially and technically sound and adequately resourced to provide desired levels of readiness to support the warfighter.

    MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • 5 or more years of experience of progressively higher responsibility in the public and/or private sector.
    • 2 years of on-site DLA experience is highly desirable.
    • Interfaces closely with the client on a day-to-day basis.
    • Supports the completion of specific tasks of a project within estimated timeframes and budget constraints.
    • Supports presentations and client meetings.
    • Expected to work on-site.
    • A bachelor's degree in business or a logistics related field.
    • Active Secret Clearance.

    PRIMARY WORK LOCATION AND HOURS OF OPERATION

    Work will be performed on-site at HQ, DLA Headquarters, 8725 John J. Kingman Road, Fort Belvoir, VA, and 5001 South Avenue, Bldg. 54, Bay 2, New Cumberland, PA. In the event of a local or national emergency, operations may be moved to another government facility or telework may be authorized up to 50% of the time.

    TRAVEL

    Travel to other government facilities or other contractor facilities may be required.
