  • Responsibilities

    ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Answer questions about a certain shipment.
    • Keep tabs on specifics related to what is coming in or going out of the company
    • Keep electronic and/or paper files accurate and up-to-date
    • Track orders.
    • Answer billing questions
    • Keep track of stock and inventory counts.
    • Serves as liaison between sales and warehouse department for international shipments issues.
    • After receiving orders from sales, they arrange the particulars of deliveries.
    • In charge of making international Ocean booking.
    • Coordinating the dispatch of containers to rail terminals or port for export.
    • Preparing export documentation necessary for our international shipment
    • Choose transportation methods based on factors such as size, cost, and when the items are needed.
    • Coordinating efforts so the multiple orders and group the orders together for pick-up.
    • Handle discrepancies that arise with the carrier and review agreed-upon terms.
    • Examine orders arriving at the dock.
    • Inspect product for damage, verify correctness, and input information into inventory records.
    • Serves as a liaison with internal and customers, shipping line, and freight forwarders.
    • Update client on the status of their orders; handle replacements when incorrect orders arrive.
    • Work with the director of healing help operations, manager of IT, and distribution center manager to develop systems to track shipping, distribution, inventory control, and reporting for internal audits and donor requirements.
    • Coordination of OTRs trucks going from Cotton warehouse to Houston warehouse
    • Review of quantities at the consumables and evaluation to determine the correct inventory level for each consumable item.

    ** QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS**

    Bilingual (English/Spanish)

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office products

    Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and able to problem solve.

    Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task

    Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

    Physical requirements; being able to lift, bend, stand, for prolonged periods.

    Support and manage any other necessary instruction from the direct supervisor to maintain the good order in the department.

    Other related duties as assigned.
