    Job Brief

    The Logistics Supervisor oversees all inbound and outbound material flow for the electrical panel shop. This role ensures accurate inventory handling, timely shipments, organized material staging, and smooth coordination between production, purchasing, and logistics partners. The supervisor leads a small team, maintains a safe and efficient warehouse environment, and supports the shop’s production schedule by ensuring materials are always where they need to be.


    Responsibilities

    • Plan, schedule, and execute daily outbound shipments, including crating, palletizing, labeling, and documentation.

    • Verify that electrical panels and components are packaged securely and meet customer and carrier requirements.

    • Coordinate freight pickups with carriers (LTL, FTL, parcel) and resolve any shipping issues or delays.

    • Maintain accurate shipping records, BOLs, packing lists, and tracking information.

    • Oversee all incoming materials, components, and equipment.

    • Inspect deliveries for accuracy, damage, and compliance with purchase orders.Ensure materials are properly logged, labeled, and routed to inventory or production staging areas.

    • Communicate discrepancies or shortages to purchasing and follow up with vendors.

    • Maintain organized storage areas and ensure materials are easy to locate.

    • Support production by staging components for panel builds according to job travelers or work orders.

    • Monitor inventory levels and assist with cycle counts and audits.

    • Identify opportunities to improve material flow and reduce bottlenecks.

    • Supervise shipping/receiving staff, including training, scheduling, and performance feedback.

    • Promote a culture of safety, accuracy, and accountability.

    • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse and logistics activities.


    Requirements

    • Experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations (manufacturing environment preferred).

    • Familiarity with electrical components, enclosures, and industrial hardware preferred

    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

    • Ability to read and interpret packing lists, purchase orders, and job travelers.

    • Proficient with ERP systems.

    • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain it.

    • Strong communication and leadership abilities.

    • 3-5 years of direct experience preferred

    $75,000 per year
