  • Responsibilities

    The Logistics and Operations Coordinator for a leading specialty manufacturer for the architectural and industrial markets that has opened a new assembly facility in Chattanooga. You will be responsible for overseeing multiple processes and logistics operations, including shipping and receiving.

    This individual will work closely with and support the Plant Manager.  We're seeking a versatile individual with experience in an industrial setting who is resourcefulness, proactive, team-oriented and a good communicator. 

    Primary responsibilities: 

    \- Assist with sourcing and purchasing office supplies and general facility materials to support daily operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.

    \- Oversee inbound logistics, including documentation as applicable, and ensure timely delivery of goods.

    \- Assist with shipping and receiving activities to ensure accuracy of PO's and verify materials received.

    \- Monitor quality of incoming materials and final products to ensure they conform to internal specifications and customer requirements.

    \- Track non-conformities and maintain appropriate documentation related to quality.

    \- Utilize the ERP system to input and monitor data for procurement, inventory, and quality.

    \- Support internal reporting and data analysis through ERP functionalities.

    \- Support the Plant Manager to create a collaborative and efficient work environment.

    \- Participate in HR-related tasks as required, including payroll, onboarding of new employees, team integration activities, etc.

    Qualifications:

    \- At least three (3) years of relevant experience in procurement, quality, and/or supply chain functions within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

    \- Understanding of logistics and shipping/receiving operations.

    \- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (intermediate level).

    \- Experience with inventory management systems and use of ERP systems for purchasing, inventory, and reporting.

    \- Experience in human resources coordination would be a plus.
