    Logistics and Procurement Lead

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive professional to take the lead on logistics and procurement activities for a major construction project in Northern Indiana. This role will focus on managing on-site materials, equipment deliveries, and overall site logistics for a large-scale development, ensuring efficiency and safety across all material handling operations.

While prior experience in data center construction is not required, candidates must demonstrate a strong background in managing the logistical demands of large, active construction sites—especially in receiving, inventory coordination, and the movement of materials.

    Core Duties-Logistics and Procurement Lead

    Delivery & Receiving Operations

    • Direct daily coordination of incoming and outgoing materials and equipment

    • Ensure all shipments are accurately documented, inspected, and recorded

    • Act as the primary site contact for deliveries, liaising with drivers, vendors, and subcontractors

    Site Layout & Material Staging

    • Oversee the layout and maintenance of laydown areas and material staging zones

    • Implement procedures for unloading, routing, and distributing materials across the jobsite

    • Manage delivery timing to reduce congestion and support smooth site operations

    Material Tracking & Scheduling

    • Work with site leads to prioritize deliveries in line with the construction schedule

    • Monitor availability and readiness of key materials across major scopes of work

    • Support installation teams by ensuring timely material access where and when needed

    Procurement Interface & Inventory Oversight

    • Coordinate closely with procurement to track long-lead items and delivery timelines

    • Report shortages, damages, or missed deliveries and assist with resolution

    • Help maintain updated material forecasts and onsite inventory records

    Reporting & Communication

    • Keep detailed logs of deliveries and material movement

    • Provide progress updates and logistics summaries to field leadership

    • Maintain open lines of communication with all project stakeholders to support material planning and issue resolution

    What We're Looking For

    • 5+ years in a logistics, warehouse, or materials coordination role—preferably on large construction sites

    • Familiarity with jobsite logistics, material handling protocols, and basic construction materials

    • Able to multitask in a high-volume environment and prioritize shifting site needs

    • Experience using software like Procore, Excel, or other tracking tools

    • Capable of overseeing forklift operations and material movement (certification is a plus)

    Bonus Qualifications

    • Past involvement in large industrial or infrastructure projects

    • OSHA 10 or 30 certification

    • Forklift certification and knowledge of safe material handling practices

    • Strong communication and coordination skills when working with crews, vendors, and site leadership
