Lombardi Associates currently has OPENINGS for a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor/Vocational Expert familiar with the DOT who has been court qualified or a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor/Vocational Consultant with the potential to become court qualified to join our organization. As a Vocational Expert/Consultant you will perform testimony for purposes of employability in government cases.

Work from home and be part of a dynamic team and process to assist in determining eligibility benefits through the government. Testifying Experience ideal but not necessary. Ideal candidate will have experience in vocational rehabilitation, labor market surveys and vocational assessments. Once qualified, candidate will be expected to go through a comprehensive background check.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work remotely
• Review legal case
• Research vocational resources
• Write a comprehensive report summarizing your results.
• Provide testimony at court hearings as required via telephone or internet
• Have the flexibility to manage your own calendar and schedule appointments.

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least five years of direct experience providing vocational rehabilitation services to individuals with disabilities
• Current national certification as either a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) by the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC), or National certification as a Fellow or Diplomate by the American Board of Vocational Experts (ABVE)
• Meet the continuing educational requirements of their national certifications from either the CRCC or ABVE.
• Education: MA or MS in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling, Rehabilitation Counseling, Counseling Psychology or related Masters level field. CRC required. Additional certifications/licenses are a plus.
• Experience: - Strong communication and report writing skills a must
• 3-5 years’ work experience in Vocational Rehabilitation with a minimum of 3 years’ demonstrated job placement experience preferred, but will consider recent grads. We will mentor the right candidate.
• Must be a motivated self-starter who takes initiative and manages work independently in a deadline driven environment.
• Courtroom testifying experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required. Compensation commensurate with experience. Inquiries and applications will be held in strictest confidence.
