    We are seeking innovative, customer focused people to join our team! Our Lethbridge, AB location currently has opportunities for:

    Audio/Video Lead Technician (6 month contract)

    This role focuses on leading and driving of Onsite Audio Video (AV) installation projects for CustomWorks, with participation in the design and deployment of said projects. It requires thorough knowledge of AV technology and an ability to lead a crew with attention to detail to deliver quality completion of AV solutions.

    Key responsibilities include:

    Support CustomWorks and TLD Account Managers and Management in presales activities.

    Offer top-level professional and timely support to all CustomWorks clients.

    Coordinate with the sales, services, and operational divisions of CustomWorks and TLD to ensure timely delivery of technical support and services to CustomWorks clients.

    Be available for out-of-town travel in order to meet or provide support and services to clients.

    Manage the onsite teams which may include CustomWorks and TLD staff as well as Contractors hired to assist with projects.

    The successful candidate should possess the following:

    Minimum 3 years’ experience in installation/commissioning of AV Systems and leading a crew.

    AV Control System platform certification or related work experience.

    Ability to setup, test, calibrate and commission equipment and services required to produce fully functional systems, including but not limited to video displays, screens, cameras, switchers, scalers, processors, transmitters, receivers, interfaces, microphones, mixers, amplifiers, controls, and other active and passive device.

    Possession of a Technical College Degree or Certificate or comparable experience.

    Must have the ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams and drawings.

    Experience with Crestron, Extron, Biamp, & BSS audio product.

    A strong knowledge of audio/video networking equipment and wiring.

    A strong knowledge in current electronics and their functions overall.

    Experience in audio/video custom installations (presentation, conference, digital signage, audio and more).

    Experience in residential & commercial construction environments.

    Experience in low voltage installations.

    Experience in communications and security wiring installations.

    A strong knowledge in the use of standard and power tools.

    Demonstrate good interpersonal skills when dealing with customers, staff, and management.

    A strong commitment to produce the highest quality of workmanship, craftsmanship, and general customer service.

    Highly organized and able to multitask effectively and work under changing priorities.

    This is a contract position for 6 months. Employees will be scheduled 40 hours per week and will typically work Monday to Friday with flexibility to work evenings and weekends to meet project requirement/timelines.
