    Loss Prevention Response Centre Supervisor

    London Drugs is looking for highly capable security and investigations professionals for our Loss Prevention team. You will find state of the art technology, training and support, and a high integrity group of people committed to excellence on our team.

    As a member of the Loss Prevention Response Department, the Loss Prevention Centre Supervisor is responsible for the ongoing direct supervision of the Response Centre team. The Supervisor is responsible for the management of the Response Center and effective delivery of Response Center processes within the Loss Prevention Department. The Supervisor ensures the Response Centre is resilient and capable to receive, document, and respond to incidents in accordance with standard operating procedures.

    Responsibilities and Primary Functions

    DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS INCLUDE:

    Protect all company assets and reduce losses.

    Assist in everyday Response Centre operations and direction of personnel.

    Schedule Response Centre team members and resources within allotted budget to achieve department objectives.

    Maintain call / case records, ensuring all reports and files are completed to company standard and within policy.

    Complete all payroll and administrative tasks according to company policy and department directives.

    Deliver company approved training to ensure adequate skills within the Response Centre staff.

    Ensure security systems, video systems, tracking systems, all processes are appropriately monitored and responded to according to our service level and quality standards.

    Support security response during emergency situations with Head Office leadership.

    Assist with programming and maintaining of systems, and user profiles as required.

    Lead the Response Centre team in effective collaboration with Area Loss Prevention Management and teams working together to accomplish department objectives.

    Qualifications

    Education & Experience:

    Understanding of security practices, reporting process, and functioning of criminal justice system.

    Understanding of relevant provincial licensing and regulation.

    Knowledge of criminal code sections applicable to loss prevention and security.

    Previous loss prevention or security industry Supervisory experience is an asset.

    Experience in training, peer coaching, and leadership.

    Experience in maintaining quality control and compliance in a security environment.

    Industry training or professional certification (i.e. PSO, CFI, CSP, LPQ) is an asset.

    Formal Criminal Justice education or a combination of education and experience that yields the required knowledge, strengths and skills.

    Excellent Customer service skills and telephone manner.

    Experience within a monitoring station, Command Centre, or Call Centre is an asset.

    Working knowledge of intrusion systems, fire alarm systems, video surveillance, access and key control, asset tracking, and perimeter protection.

    Completion of Interpersonal Conflict Resolution course is an asset.

    First Aid and W.H.I.M.I.S. Training

    Skills & Abilities

    Demonstrated interpersonal, conflict resolution, crisis intervention and communication skills.

    Demonstrated ability to stay calm and respond with good judgment in emergency situations.

    Demonstrated ability to work under strict confidentiality.

    Must be highly organized and able to multitask effectively.

    Ability to administrate video, access control, case management, and other technology based security systems.

    Excellent communication skills required, both written and verbal, for report writing and court testimony.

    Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office)
