    The Loss Prevention Supervisor is responsible for the ongoing direct supervision of area Loss Prevention personnel and programs. The Supervisor works with their team and other internal and external stakeholders to execute the Area LP plan and ensure Loss Prevention resources are properly deployed and maintained.The LP Supervisor ensures the Area LP team is capable, trained, professional and effective in delivering security programs in our stores. The LP Supervisor monitors inventory loss and crime trends at area locations, ensures professional investigations of all incidents, and appropriate security response to location emergencies.

    Responsibilities Include:- Protect all company assets and reduce losses. - Assist in selection and training of Loss Prevention team members in respective business units. - Lead and direct Loss Prevention personnel engaged in prevention and detection of losses, and the apprehension of shop thieves. - Manage goals for area Loss Prevention team that meet company loss prevention objectives. - Complete payroll and administrative tasks according to company policy and department directives. - - Deliver company approved training programs to ensure adequate loss prevention knowledge within the Loss Prevention Department staff. - Operate the prescribed store level Loss Prevention, security, and audit programs. - Complete periodic performance and budget reports. - Represent company Loss Prevention objectives at interdepartmental, project, staff, and management meetings. - Deliver loss awareness programs which protect employees and customers, safeguard the London Drugs brand, prevent loss, and reduce incidents of crime. - Maintain effective liaison with public safety authorities, local law enforcement, vendors, solution providers, and other security professionals. -Carry communication tools and respond to after-hours emergencies as required. - Travel to any company location or on behalf of the company to industry events when required.

    EDUCATION & KNOWLEDGE:- Understanding of security best practices, industry standards for security operations, common retail loss prevention measures, and applicable laws and regulations. - Understanding of relevant provincial licensing and regulations. - Understanding of use of force model and appropriate rights, duties and obligations surrounding use of force. - Previous loss prevention or security industry leadership experience is an asset. - Security related education or recognized professional accreditation (i.e., LPQ, CFI, APP) preferred. - Formal security operations or criminal justice education or a combination of education and experience that yields the required knowledge, strengths, and skills. - Understanding of retail LP audit, facility security assessment, and risk analysis. - Working knowledge of security, use of theft prevention devices, security and life safety systems, video surveillance, access and key control, asset tracking, and perimeter protection. - Provincial security worker license with advanced security (tactical) training. - Experience in coaching, conflict management and negotiation. Intermediate general computer skills (Windows, Office, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint). - Training in structured interview techniques (Wicklander, Peace Model) preferred. - First Aid and W.H.M.I.S.     This is a full-time position that requires the candidate to be available to work a flexible schedule Monday through Sunday, including evenings and weekends. This position requires a valid class 5 driver’s license as some travel will be required at times.
