    Job Description

    TYPE: Part-time (20 hours per week), non-exempt SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday. This is a hybrid position with both remote and on-site work. REPORTS TO: President & CEO SALARY RANGE: $30,000/year BENEFITS: Paid sick leave and company-matching retirement plan available to part-time employees ABOUT THE COMPANY The Long Beach Community Foundation (LBCF) is a 501 (c) 3, tax-exempt charitable organization. Our mission is to initiate positive change for Long Beach through charitable giving, stewardship and strategic grant-making.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Attend LBCF Board meetings and submit minutes for review to CEO
    • Assist with Board member correspondence including onboarding new Board members and obtaining annual contributions and signed documents
    • Record, document, track and distribute Board meeting and committee minutes and agendas
    • Schedule meetings for CEO and Board members
    • Process and update Council on Foundations accreditation
    • Coordinate with LBCF Nonprofit Center property manager to ensure optimal operations and accounting
    • Monitor office supplies and reorder if needed
    • Ensure all files (paper and electronic) are up to date
    • Provide support to program staff on special projects, events and initiatives
    • Perform general office tasks (filing, copying, scanning documents, etc.) as needed
    • Other duties as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s Degree or significant progress toward achieving a Bachelor’s Degree
    • Interest in nonprofit management and community development
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook)
    • Organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments
    • Creative, flexible and eager to learn
    • Strong communication skills – written and oral
    • Detail oriented, team player
    • Two years of similar work experience
    • Maintain confidential information
