    THIS POSITION IS FULL TIME (40 HOURS A WEEK) AND REPORTS TO THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE.  There is some flexibility in schedule; position may require limited weekend and evening hours for special events.  AT LBDN, our work is rewarding and our culture is supportive, inclusive, innovative, and fun!     ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: work distribution will resemble the following breakdown:

    • 75% Accounting
    • 15% Operations
    • 10% Administrative Support and Special Projects

    ACCOUNTING SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Perform general accounting, and other related duties in daily administration of the finance department
    • Accurate processing and management of Accounts Payable and Receivable
    • Accurate and timely Payroll Management for 50+ nonexempt employees
    • Assist with management of fees and financial documentation for programs and grants
    • Assist with month end closings
    • Strict adherence to accounting deadlines
    • Assist Finance Director with preparation for annual OMB A133 Federal Audit
    • Research and resolve billing discrepancies through accruals and billing adjustments, as necessary
    • Manage bank signors and corresponding confidential paperwork on an annual basis

    OPERATION SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Procurement policy compliance
    • Purchasing
    • Bids and vendor management
    • Facilities support

    ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT/SPECIAL PROJECTS:

    • Document retention
    • General office duties

    SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Experience with ADP
    • Knowledge of California Wage and Hour Regulations
    • Knowledge of HR laws and regulations
    • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
    • Must be highly skilled in the use of Excel spreadsheets and QuickBooks   
    • Exceptional follow-through
    • A proven track record in managing complex accounting
    • Minimum 3-5 years of directly related experience, including payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
    • Associate(s) Degree or higher in accounting or finance, Bachelor(s) Degree preferred
    • Excellent professional habits including working well with others, providing outstanding customer service, ethical and confidential
