About the Role:

Dale T Smith & Sons Meat Packing Inc. is looking for a reliable and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team in North Salt Lake City, UT. This is a great opportunity to hit the open road as part of a well-established company with deep roots in the meat packing industry. Responsibilities:

Operate long haul commercial trucks to transport meat and food products across regional and national routes

Ensure safe and timely delivery of perishable freight in compliance with DOT regulations

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain accurate driver logs (ELD)

Maintain proper temperature controls and cold chain integrity for refrigerated loads

Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route updates, delays, or issues

Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all federal and state transportation laws

Requirements:

Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A) required

Minimum 1-2 years of verifiable long haul or OTR driving experience

Clean MVR and satisfactory background check

Experience operating refrigerated (reefer) trailers preferred

Familiarity with ELD systems and DOT Hours of Service regulations

Strong time management skills and a self-motivated, dependable work ethic
