The Environmental Health + Safety (EHS) Manager identifies existing and predictable hazards on large project sites and takes corrective measures to eliminate risk from the project sites.
Here’s what you get to do:
- Perform routine walk-through inspections of construction areas on small to medium sized projects independently, and large to complex projects with some assistance
- Responsible for the creation and distribution of Site EHS Audits to project team and subcontractors
- Provide leadership and direction to project prestart safety review with project team
- Lead high hazard trade safety preconstruction meetings on projects
- Responsible for the completion of Monthly Project EHS Assessment
- Act as primary resource for safety related issues for project teams
- Responsible for OSHA Inspection process
- Conducts personal injury and property damage accident investigations; compile data, photographs, and other necessary documentation for reporting purposes; prepare all pertinent forms and reports per program procedures and federal, state, and local regulations associated with accidents
- Partner with subcontractors to develop overall satisfactory level of safety compliance on jobsites
Here’s who you are: (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health + Safety Sciences or related field
- A minimum of five (5) years hands on experience in Construction
- Safety Trained Supervisor Certification, or equivalent
- Construction Health and Safety Technician Certification, or equivalent
- Current First Aid, CPR and AED certification
- Completed OSHA 500 Instructor Course
- Ability to effectively communicate ideas to employees, subcontractors and clients
