    JOB SUMMARY

    The HR Compliance Intern will support our ongoing human resources compliance efforts while learning more about Reliance and our Family of Companies. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be utilized in maintaining accurate records and assisting with various HR compliance related activities. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain firsthand experience in HR corporate compliance and labor relations and gain insight into our company’s policies and compliance knowledge.

    SUPPLEMENTAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop an understanding of HR related compliance activities through supporting various policy implementations, reacknowledgement and audit processes.
    • Support and assist with enrollment and tracking of compliance training courses.
    • Support the execution of annual policy re-acknowledgments.
    • Learn the process of federal employment verification by assisting with Form I-9 audit reviews.
    • With appropriate guidance, respond to inquiries on HR policy questions and other related inquiries.
    • Assist with collection and review of data required for Affirmative Action Plans.
    • Prepare HR-related compliance reports as needed.
    • Assist with other projects as assigned.

    RATE: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

    LOCATION: Los Angeles or Pasadena area - Working a minimum of three days per week in the Pasadena office

    Required Skills

    • Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with an interest Human Resources Management or similar field.
    • Willingness to learn about current Human Resources practices, policies, procedures and applicable state and federal laws.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
    • High attention to detail and strong organization skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams and Forms
