    The Long Term Care Director is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating Resident care activities in the Long Term Care facility. The Director will maintain standards of Resident care, navigate family interactions, work closely with Medical staff, other department heads and administration in regards to matters related to the daily operations of the Long Term Care.

    Key Responsibilities -Recommends establishment or revision of policies, procedures, methods and develops organizational structure and standards of performance. Ensures all policies and procedures for the LTC are in compliance with federal and state regulations; staff are educated on policies and complying with them, and that policies are upholding necessary care standards for Resident care and safety. -Works closely with the Chief Clinical Officer, Nursing staff, Medical staff and Administration to ensure that all patient care standards are being met in the LTC. -Oversees the care of all LTC and Intermediate Swing Bed Residents in the facility; ensures that operations are in licensure compliance for all regulatory standards for both sides (KDHE/KDADS). -Works closely with Maintenance, I.T., Housekeeping, Laundry, Dietary and other support departments to ensure quality standards are met. Works collaboratively to create a safe and inviting environment in the facility. -Oversees all LTC staff and ensures that requirements for licensed staff are met daily (RN coverage) and staff are operating within licensure scope (CNA's, CMA's, LPN's, RN's). -Implements, oversees and continually monitors/ improves all patient care programs in the LTC (family communication, toileting, care plans, fall programs, safety, quality, infection control, risk management, etc.) to ensure effectiveness.

    Education and/or Experience Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Nursing Home Administrator License or RN License Required
