Long-Term Substitute Learning Support Teacher
POSITION DESCRIPTION
St. Richard’s is currently seeking a full-time Middle Division Long Term Sub Learning Support Teacher from around September 7 to December 18, 2026.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
This successful candidate should possess the following:
Experience teaching and supporting students with executive functioning, time management, project management, reading support, math support, homework support, and managing a classroom environment.
A strong understanding of the unique learning needs of middle division students, especially those with learning differences and ability to meet these needs.
Training in the science of reading and academic support strategies and willingness to implement previously developed plans.
The ability to differentiate instruction and assessment to meet the varying needs of students.
A sensitivity and knowledge of the needs of a diverse community and the ability to work effectively with students, parents, teachers, and other stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
A desire to work collaboratively as a member of the St. Richard’s community and MD Student Support Team to help students, families, and colleagues.
A positive and firm approach to classroom management.
An ability to communicate effectively with students, colleagues, families, support staff, and administration.
Support, collaboration, and engagement with students and faculty across instructional settings.
