    POSITION TITLE:                                         Cyber Security Engineer

    DEPARTMENT/LOCATION:                            Development/Oklahoma City, OK

    SUPERVISOR:                                              Senior Program Manager

    STATUS:                                                     Regular/Full-Time Exempt


    PRIMARY FUNCTION: 

    This position is responsible for the development of cybersecurity plans and packages to include design, monitor, and update of IT and Cyber Systems and processes operated and developed by Long Wave.   This position will support the team’s efforts to obtain DoD system accreditations utilizing the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process.

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. The cybersecurity engineer will be responsible for managing the day-to-day functions of a Governance, Risk, and Compliance cybersecurity program.

    2. Manage and perform NIST Assessment and Authorization processes

    3. Develop Risk Management Framework (RMF) Authority to Operate (ATO) controls and package submission utilizing the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) web site for both classified and unclassified submissions.

    4. Information Security Policies and procedures development (NIST 800-53 security control families)

    5. Conduct and Manage Security Control Assessments

    6. Conduct and Manage IT and Corporate Risk Assessments

    7. Conduct Company-wide Information Security Awareness and Training

    8. Cybersecurity plan development and implementation (i.e., Configuration Plan, Incident Response Plan, and Contingency Plan, etc.)

    9. Manage System Security Plan (SSP) development

    10. Manage and perform Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) updates and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) implementation on DoD accredited systems.

    11. Manage and perform vulnerability scanning and reporting (i.e. Nessus)

    12. Create, propose and manage company-wide Security Impact Analysis

    13. Coordination and correspondence with client ISSO on any matters related to information security (ex: Change Control Board (CCB), security controls, etc.)

    14. Audit Liaison and Artifact Quality Control

    15. Provide guidance to teams to include internal auditing procedures to ensure systems are being maintained and serviced as prescribed.

    16. Interface with customers and vendors to review software and hardware solutions to ensure the best value to company.

    17. Assist in the design, implementation, monitoring and support of the hardware and software related to the cyber security and information risk program.

    18. Assist in performing contract reviews and ensuring company risks are mitigated.

    19. Troubleshot, coordinate, escalate and resolve risk and security based incident, equipment failures etc.

    20. Provide technical assistance and advice to users as needed.

    21. Recommend changes in software and hardware to improve IT performance.

    22. Implement and enforce cyber security policies in coordination with security directives.

    23. Assure continuity of the computer system for all Development systems.

    24. Assist with install and update selected software and hardware products.

    25. Assist with back-ups to network system.

    26. Set the highest standard for internal and external company customer service.

    27. Ability to work with little or no supervision.

    28. Perform other duties as assigned.

    WORK CONDITIONS: 

    Employee must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds to include bending, stooping, crawling, and stretching as required for placement and retrieval of materials or equipment and shelving.  Employee will be working mostly within an office environment.  Employee will travel to work site locations where employee will be expected to dress in appropriate manner to deal with clients and customers.  Some travel will be necessary to meet the requirements for the positions.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree computer science, information technology or related and/or equivalent experience accepted.

    • Four (4) years recent experience working with DoD Cyber Security requirements.

    • DoD approved Cybersecurity workforce certifications as listed in DoD 8570.01.

    • Experience with DoD and Navy IT policies and standards and knowledge of computer equipment evaluation techniques to perform systems analysis and performance analysis assignments.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, and Outlook. 

    • US Citizenship.

    • eMASS proficiency.

    • CISSP, CISM (Security Plus, CYSA +) or equivalents certification.

    • Current Secret Clearance.
