    Job Description

    Title: Flooring Sales Associate Pay Rate: Compensation of Sales Associates is 100% commission basis with incentive. We are searching for a qualified Sales Associates for a local flooring retailer. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills. Previous hardware/flooring sales is preferred. Job Description: A Sales Associate is responsible for representing the store, and the Company in a manner that reflects the professionalism required. Proper attire should be worn at all times that he/she is on duty or in the store. Proper attire is to include wearing the specially designed shirts, slacks and name tag. Moreover, proper attire should be observed whether or not he/she is on duty as they are still an intricate part of the company family. The primary responsibility of the Sales Associate, although certainly not his/her only duty, is to sell the approved product at the prices reflected on the goods according to company guidelines. As a gauge of performance, Sales Associates should be expected to have yearly sales in excess of $350,000 at satisfactory gross profit margins. As a matter of practice, the number of sales people selling in a store should be a function of both realized store sales volume as well as projected sales volume. The Sales Associates should be willing and capable of assisting the warehouse person when necessary to accommodate customer sales and the loading of customers’ vehicles with purchased goods.   Job Duties: Help the customers make the best possible buying decision Excellent customer service including follow-up before and after sale Add-on selling and step-up selling Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of the products and product trends Staying up-to-date on the competition Staying alert to in-store sales, promotions and inventory changes Estimating jobs for customers Striving to continually increase sales volume while maintaining acceptable gross profit margins-as defined by manager Keeping accurate and complete sales records Helping managers maintain store appearance and Franchise value   Submit your application online to be considered for this position.
