Skills and responsibilities:
Customer Interaction: Engaging with customers to understand their needs, offering advice on parts selection, and providing price quotes.
Order Processing: Taking orders, locating parts, processing payments, and handling returns.
Communication: Answering phones, communicating with other staff members, and potentially following up on back-ordered parts.
Experience is must: worked in auto parts shop for 2 years minimum .
Providing product knowledge: Helping customers choose the right parts and suggesting related items requires a strong understanding of the products.
Using computer systems: Parts counter staff need to be comfortable using computer systems for tasks like order entry, inventory tracking, and invoicing.
Stocking and put-away: Properly storing and organizing parts in the designated areas is important.
Pulling orders from stock: Locating and preparing parts for customer orders.
Problem-solving skills: Being able to identify and resolve issues related to parts, orders, or customer concerns.
