Schedule

- Twelve (12) hour shift [2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on schedule (flexibility required to work day or night shift)]
- Every other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off
Responsibilities include a variety of tasks across different equipment and departments (extruders, coaters, slitters, material handling, shipping and receiving).
Requirements
- Ability to work either day shift or night shift.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred previous operator experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in using basic hand tools
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Capability to read/use ruler or tape measure, and possess basic math skills
- Aptitude for lifting 50 pounds on a routine basis
- Capability to stand/walk/bend/kneel/crouch for up to 12 hours.
- A strong dedication to safety, customer satisfaction, quality, and productivity is essential.
- Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and steel toe shoes.
- All necessary PPE is provided by Loparex.
Duties
- Arrive promptly for work, and in the appropriate condition for your assigned tasks
- Safely, efficiently, and productively operate manufacturing machinery to rewind and/or slit product in accordance with customer specifications.
- Utilize computer systems to enter data, print paperwork, access orders, comprehend and interpret customer specifications, and set up designated machines accordingly.
- Comprehend machine operation and set-up, including start-up, product changeovers, shut down, edge guide, splicing, threading machine, shears, tension adjustments, etc.
- Identify and resolve equipment issues
- Package and handle finished and unfinished product (also according to customer specifications), ensuring accuracy in weights, diameters, and other measurements, as well as proper labeling, pallet specifications, shrink wrapping, banding, etc.
- Operate forklift or other necessary equipment.
- Ensure all quality checks have been performed, and verify that the product meets all customer specifications.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Team Manager or the Production Manager. Provide assistance to the shift teams as directed by the Team Manager
