    GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

    This position routes trucks with multiple stops. You will be responsible for analyzing and designing routes to maximize truck utilization, improve efficiency and meet customer delivery times.

    Coastal Sunbelt Produce serves the finest restaurants, hotels, caterers, and country clubs in our area.  We also serve the largest chain restaurants and multi-unit operations in the nation.  Our experienced team possesses exceptional product knowledge and works hard to develop long term partnerships with our customers.

     

    POSITION DESCRIPTION:

    • Update out of service truck sheet
    • Enters drivers and truck information in Roadnet for both routing sessions
    • Updates current customer information
    • Creates routes
    • Dynamic routing
    • Interacts with transportation, warehouse management, customer service and sales
    • Creates and maintains cost effective routes by implementing delivery window improvements
    • Releases routes to warehouse for selection
    • Routes customers to reduce miles and maximize productivity
    • Analyzes routes for new efficiencies.
    • Evaluate shipments, consolidate loads, and maintain high level of customer service while selecting cost effective methods of delivery
    • Investigate and respond to inquiries regarding shipping

    Required Skills Required Experience

    REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Proficiency using router software such as Roadnet and WMS

    • Strong computer and software skills

    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Google docs.

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills

    • Must be able to work 4PM-1AM shift with a rotating schedule

    • Must be able to adjust to last minute schedule changes

    • Ability to multi- task and work in fast paced environment

    • Detail-oriented.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION

    GEO 105*, 106*, 111*, 112*, 160, 165, 200, 210

    • Masters degree in one of several related degrees listed below. 
    • Also allowed, a Master's degree in any field, plus 18 graduate credits in one of the related degrees listed below.
