TITLE: R2T4 FUNDS SPECIALIST
DEPARTMENT: Financial Aid
REPORTS TO: Assistant Manager of Financial Aid
STATUS: Exempt
NUMBER OF EMPLOYEES SUPERVISED: 0
LOCATION: Hollywood, CA
PRIMARY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
· Accurate and timely completion of all R2T4 returns
· Log and track all withdrawal emails on R2T4 spreadsheet
· Evaluate withdrawn students to determine if R2T4 calculation is necessary
· Work independently and provides regular status updates to management regarding R2T4 process
· Ensure proper notification to both students and the Business Office of R2T4 calculation return amounts
· Provide superior customer service and efficiency in response to campus, student and staff R2T4 inquires
· Prepare weekly reports of withdrawn students for VA teams
· Responsible for adhering to the financial aid and R2T4 policies, requirements and procedures
· Develop proficiency and become a subject matter expert in financial aid processing and procedures to include Return to Title IV programs
· Determine Authorized/Not Authorized VA funds
· Management and represent department as part of SAP appeals committee
· Maintaining compliance with federal regulations, following institutional policies, and procedures, and ability to interact with integrity and professionalism
· Import/Export EdConnect files
· Perform other job-related duties and special projects as assigned
KEY PERFORMANCE:
· Ensure timely/accurate completion of all R2T4
MINIMUM REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
· Three years of experience working in financial aid
· Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution is highly recommend but not required
· Strong working knowledge of Department of Education rules and regulations
· Solid understand and experience working with R2T4
· Manual experience working with R2T4 a plus
· Experience working in CampusVue database
· Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint (or Mac equivalent)
· Self -motivated and able to balance multiple tasks simultaneously among changing priorities and deadlines
· Excellent verbal and written communications skills
· Ability to effectively and positively communicate with a customer service-oriented attitude
· Professional, upbeat, social and dependable
· Creative problem solver who works well in a team environment
· Applicant must not currently be or have been in default on student loans.
