  • Responsibilities

    HealthFitness has a great opportunity for a part-time (3 hrs/wk) SQUASH INSTRUCTOR at our MIT client site located in Cambridge, MA.  In this position, you will be responsible for conducting private squash instructional lessons. Applicants must be willing to assist with facility programs and events when appropriate to aid in marketing the Squash program.

     

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Teach beginner and intermediate level squash skills.
    • Evaluate squash techniques and prescribe drills based on skills and abilities.
    • Aid in marketing squash program.

     

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS:

     

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • Current squash teaching certification or at least 2 years of squash related coaching experience preferred.
    • CPR/AED/first aid certification from either American Heart Association or American Red Cross preferred, but required within 30 days of hire.
    • Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail.

     

    OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

     

    • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work demands.
    • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.
    • Ability to perform basic math calculations.
    • Ability to work closely with other squash instructors or squash participants.

    Required Skills Required Experience

  • Qualifications

    Statistical, analytical and programming experience necessary. Knowledge of SAS, R or STATA software a must. Experience with Qualtrics, Redcap, Complex data structures and management preferred.

     

    BA degree required.
