Job Description
This position performs as staff accountant with functional responsibility over the accounting close including but not limited to: booking journal entries, completing account reconciliations, reconciling intercompany, preparing workpapers, input information into financial reporting system, and complete month over month, year over year and actual vs budget analysis. Additional responsibility to assist Senior Accountant on preparation of budget and adhoc projects.

Education/Professional Certifications/Licenses
The following is the basic qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, OR a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or Business Administration, with a minor or concentration in Accounting
Experience
The following are the basic qualifications:
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required/Preferred (including any physical demands)
Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP)
Strong analytical and accounting skills. Ability to recognize variances in accounts investigate and summarize articulately explanations for management review.
Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of major accounting software packages for both general ledger and consolidation/reporting software. Microsoft Dynamics AX, Cartesis Magnitude and SAP Business Objects preferred.
Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment.
Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks with a high level of difficulty.
Individual will be expected to work with minimal up-front guidance and take ownership for his/her work product.
The individual will work closely with all major functional leaders of the Company.
Working Conditions
Climate-controlled office environment, with exposure to fast-paced trading floor.
Extensions of regular working hours are occasionally necessary to complete time-sensitive projects, attend training or to respond to emergencies.
